We want to let everyone know about an upcoming change to the Wyvern Discount Card and how customer rewards will work going forward.
The Discount Card has been part of the Wyvern for many years, and we are grateful to everyone who has supported the venue over that time. We understand many customers value it, which is why we are taking a careful and fair approach to this change.
As part of the Wyvern’s ongoing development as a community venue, we are moving away from a system where customers pay upfront for discounts, and instead introducing a model where loyalty is rewarded over time without a joining fee.
One fair price for everyone, with loyalty rewarded rather than prepaid.
The current system requires us to operate two pricing structures, which makes it harder to keep prices consistent and fair for everyone.
A full year of notice
Existing Discount Card holders may continue to renew during the transition period, with renewals priced proportionally by month so that the scheme concludes for everyone on 31 March 2027.
New customers may continue to purchase Discount Cards online until the new Loyalty Scheme becomes available.
Life Memberships
Life Membership benefits are linked directly to the Discount Card scheme and will conclude on 31 March 2027.
We are very grateful for the long-standing support of our Life Members, and their benefits will continue until then.
Introducing the Wyvern Loyalty Scheme
We are currently developing a new free Loyalty Points Scheme, which will be introduced in the coming months.
- Spend as normal
- Earn points automatically
- Build up points over time
- Redeem points for rewards such as a free drink
The scheme will operate through a smartphone app, with QR code scanning at the bar.
Further details will be shared once the system is ready to launch.
Transition Period
- Discount Cards remain available to renew
- New customers may continue to purchase Discount Cards online until the new Loyalty Scheme is launched
- The new Loyalty Scheme will launch in the coming months
- Discount Card and Life Membership benefits conclude 31 March 2027
